What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program designed to provide dental care coverage to eligible Canadians who do not have access to dental insurance. Sahara Dental is proud to be a part of a network of clinics that accept the CDCP.​​​

Eligibility: The plan is available to residents with an adjusted family net income below $90,000. 

Application: All eligible Canadians can apply online. For more detailed information, you can visit the official Canadian government website .

Coverage: The CDCP covers various services, including:

  • Diagnostic and preventive services (e.g., exams, cleanings, X-rays)

  • Basic services (e.g., fillings)

  • Major services (e.g., crowns, dentures, oral surgery)

  • Orthodontic services will be added in 2025.
